About me
I think my preschool teacher hated me. Not because I was a mischievous or bad kid, but because of art. Every time my class would do some sort of craft or creative activity I would become so enthralled in it to the point where I would refuse to do anything else until I was finished with the project at hand. I didn’t care about learning the alphabet or shapes or anything else for the matter, I only cared about art. That same infatuation I’ve had about art since preschool never dwindled, and only grew stronger as I grew as a person. Art and creativity are such core values I hold, that I cannot imagine describing myself without discussing art and creativity.
When the question inevitably came up of “what do you want to do when you grow up” the only potential option for me was to go into the creative field. In my eyes, pursuing anything else would be a waste and simply wouldn't compare to art. Although I’ve tried to branch out to other subjects that may interest me, at the end of the day I cannot imagine a life where I am not doing something creative as a profession.
After High School, I am planning on attending Temple University, and attending the Tyler School of Art. I’m not positive on what my major will be yet, but as long as I’m doing something creative, I’ll be happy. I may also pursue a double major in environmental science or studies in order to use my creativity to potentially solve sustainability issues and to help the planet. I couldn’t be more excited to deepen my understanding and knowledge in the arts at Temple.
